NAME: Russ Petty WHERE FROM: Lexington, Indiana HARVESTED: Lexington, Indiana TYPE OF FIREARM OR BOW USED: .50 cal muzzleloader SPECIES TYPE: Whitetail SIZE AND WEIGHT: Approximately 6 1/2 yrs old and dressed out at a little over 200 lbs. DESCRIPTION: I shot him around 9:30 in the morning with a .50 cal muzzleloader at 86 yards (according to my range finder). This is only the second buck I've ever harvested, the first being a basket rack 7 pt, about 3 years ago. My brother and I have put a lot of time in tracking and patterning the bucks in our area, and it has paid off big time. He also harvested a nice 9 pt, back in bow season. I had my cousin rough score mine for me and it only scored 120 6/8, but it doesn't bother me, because it's still a monster to me and is going to look beautiful on my wall.
