TYPE OF FIREARM OR BOW USED: Mossberg 800A in a .308 Winchester, 165 gr. Sierra boat-tail soft point

DESCRIPTION: After a lifetime of searching everywhere for his trophy blacktail...all he had to do was look in his own backyard. On a Thursday morning this big buck, one of three, came in with some does into a food plot. Just as he was about to let lead fly, an acorn hit a nearby roof, spooking off one of the 4 points. A few minutes later however, another buck came in. With a close 40 yard shot to the shoulder, he anchored the buck in its tracks and fulfilled a lifetime of searching.
