Wyoming hunter takes a great caribou and a monster mule deer

NAME: Marty Killion WHERE FROM: Laramie Wyoming HARVESTED: Caribou -- Adak Island, AK/ Mule Deer -- Central Wyoming TYPE OF FIREARM OR BOW USED: Remington Model 700, 7mm Stainless/Ruger No. 1, .338 SPECIES TYPE: Alaskan Barren Ground Caribou/Rocky Mountain Mule Deer SIZE AND WEIGHT: Caribo -- 370-2/8 BC/ Mule Deer -- 186-7/8 typical, a total of 3-3/8 total deductions. SCI all time top 100 list (#97) DESCRIPTION: Caribou: I harvested this great Caribou on an unguided hunt with my friends. He was taken on the first day I was able to hunt and was in a bachelor group of 13 bulls. We got several bulls during our stay with all but one going over 360 inches. I can also say we saw a lot bigger bulls but just couldn't get to them quick enough. It was a great hunt and beautiful country. Special thanks to my friend, Jim Jairell, for making this hunt possible. Mule Deer: This is my biggest mule deer to date. He was taken on opening morning and was with another buck that was slightly bigger. I couldn't get a shot at the other buck due to how he was feeding, but this one was feeding broadside to me. I made a good 200-yard shot and the buck never took a step. This once in a lifetime buck is a typical 4x4 and is 30" wide.
