NAME: Jason Dyck
WHERE FROM: St. Pierre, Manitoba
HARVESTED: Muskox: Victoria Island, Nunavut -- Caribou: NWT North North of Yellowknife
TYPE OF FIREARM OR BOW USED:300 Weatherby Mag., 180-gr. Noslers
SPECIES TYPE: Muskox and Caribou
SIZE AND WEIGHT:Muskox: 98 B&C -- Caribo: 366 B&C
DESCRIPTION: The muskox had charged us twice forcing us to run back to the boat. At the time we hunted them they were in rut, which is why they were so aggressive. I was able to anchor him with one shot at 260 yards. An awesome hunting experience!!
The caribou is from NWT north of Yellowknife. We saw literally thousands of caribou each day and this is one of the two I harvested. I brought my brother in-law with and between the two of us we had taken 3 B&C bulls in less than an hour. The fourth bull I took later on in the hunt. The single shot was about 450 yard according to our rangefinder.
