Ed Adams
Wyoming hunter takes a nice Alaskan brown bear with his Ruger .44

NAME: Ed Adams

WHERE FROM: Gillette, Wyoming

HARVESTED: Admiralty Island, Alaska

TYPE OF FIREARM OR BOW USED: Ruger .44 Mag. using Cast Performance 320 LBT bullets

SPECIES TYPE: Alaskan Brown Bear

SIZE AND WEIGHT: The bear squared at 8' 7

DESCRIPTION: I shot this bear while on a 10-day hunt in Alaska on Admiralty Island with Nine Lives Charters out of Juneau. We had rain for the first 4 days but the last 6 days were sunny. The six days we hunted browns we saw 21 browns and were within 50 yards of five bears. I Shot my bear with a Ruger .44 mag. using Cast Performance 320 LBT bullets. The first shot at 15 yards went in his right front shoulder and we found it at his tail upon skinning. The second shot was at 10 yards and hit him in the neck; he dropped there. The bear squared at 8' 7". Special thanks to Mike Dobson.
